Pfd Ski Jacket
In Maryland, are of type 5 pfd is permitted to use for driving watercraft?

I just bought a jet ski and I am looking to buy new life jacket. Type 5 PFD (Personal Flotation Devices) have much room to move when you are wearing a PFD type 3 or 2. But I realize that only certain activities are allowed for the use of a Type 5 PFD, one of them is driving a jet ski?

NO, only in Maryland type 1, 2 or 3 pfd required to be notified on the (jet ski PWC). For more information see below the type jackets http://www.boater101.com/Course/documents/MD/MDstatelaws.pdf v life are designed for low speed and paddle sports boat sailing and boating at low speed (50 mph) that are not designed for PWC or other high-speed activities like water skiing. greater impact velocity of water that can be pulled out of the person. my advice is to buy a ski jacket attachment close with a 100 mph speed range. Hope this helps

Wear It, Alabama!
